The Best Advice on Reddit

The Best Advice on Reddit

Welcome back to the Arrive North Shore Blog! Today, we’re embracing the summer season with advice from the online community. Summer is a busy season and it’s finally here. While we can’t wait to dive into all the fun that accompanies these next few months, it’s important to slow down and apply some sage advice from the Reddit community. Let’s see what advice we can apply from users of Reddit.

If you don’t already know, Reddit is a website where people can post content such as links, text posts, and images, which people can comment and vote on. The more popular the comments in the post, the more points they receive. We found a great Reddit thread titled, “What is the best piece of advice to give to [an 18-year-old]?” Even if you’re not 18, the advice we found on this thread is valuable for everyone. Enjoy!

  • It’s okay to admit when you’ve made a mistake. Never be afraid to ask a question for fear of looking dumb.
  • Do what you like to do, speak your mind, and embrace yourself.
  • Nobody is the bad guy in their own story.
  • First, learn to cook. Second, if someone won't give you their time, they probably aren’t worth yours.
  • Life will always have struggles. What defines a person is how they face these struggles.
  • Nothing matters as much as you think it does. Don’t sweat the small stuff.
  • Learning doesn't end when school does, stay curious. Keep yourself in shape, limit sugar and junk food, eat healthy. Learn to save a bit of your paycheck no matter how much you make now and let the magic of compound interest work in your favor. Avoid debt.
